John Harold King

I was born in Kent, England in 1963 and have remained there for most of my life. I have two sons, Peter and Simon, and am married to Joy. I have mainly worked in insurance, and am an active member of a local church. I enjoy music, curry, films and country walks.

I have always had a keen interest in humour. I ventured into Instagram (and Facebook) where my cartoons have gained a large following. My humour covers autobiography, life observations, ironies, plays on words and the downright bizarre!

The Cartoon Headcase mission statement is 'a smile on every face and a book in every bathroom'. This has led to the publishing of this series of books including 'Cartoon Headcase: Making the whole world laugh', 'Cartoon Headcase: The science of humour' and 'Cartoon Headcase: Christmas Cracker'. Several more are to be released in 2020.
